Started in the winter of 2012, The Movement Program is an after-school fitness program that utilizes a protocol of movements that are functional in nature to inspire and invigorate the bodies and minds of the students at the Girard Academic Music Program, a 5-12 grade public magnet school in South Philadelphia.  This exercise regimen looks to increase the speed, power, strength, stamina, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, coordination, accuracy, balance, and, ultimately, confidence and determination of those souls brave enough to take on the many hellish physical and mental challenges, day in and day out.
